Well well well my college.. our college has completed 10yrs.. proud moment for the staff and us students too..though we will be having the annual day as usual next month, these people decided to have the decennial function too.. which was a good thing to do.. the college got a good exposure in the local newspapers.. big names graced us with their presence.. everyone got the much needed break.. also a chance to show off our best dresses.. and yeah because some of the galz were looking woooooooooooo.. nicee..
The money spent by the college people was visible.. good sound systems.. nice lighting.. good tolerance of the dancing and shouting by the lecturers.. and of course Bezawada sweets of MVP supplied us with their usual sompapdi and mixture with a fruity.. classes were suspended at 12 noon. Though on Sunday one good thing the college folks did was not lock us inside the campus like all last years functions.. aaaaanndddd people left.. almost half the students went off immediately.. though some came back after some lunch and all:)))) any function people.. any function that involves netajis and babus never starts on time.. something which was supposed to start at 4:30pm did not start until 6:15.. well they were big people.. >>D.Puradeshwari.. Venkaiah Naidu.. yeah two big people from opposition parties.. and the usual B.Satyanarayana.. and also one author/poet who's name i cant really remember.. seriously the dude beside me is also clueless.. our principal V.S.R.K.Prasad remembered his college days and wrapped up his speech in around 10mins.. college-bunking are two words that cannot exist without the other.. here too the A.P education minister bunked.. and yeah N.B.R.Prasad and his wife N.Sujatha came all the way from Obama's land..
The speeches first>>each one on average 35-45mins.. well atleast some of it was good.. oh yeah V.Thapovardhan also spoke and partly hosted the show.. sooooooooo it was 8 o'clock by the time our show began.. the shouting the dancing the flinging of chairs(breaking too) running around of our hod STARTED.. aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh... CSE rocks.. our seniors performed on some mixed songs.. with all roaring of the crowds came the girl party which actually performed twice.. and both the times the crowd was as if they have all just been given a week of vacation.. Maa TV host Omkar was totally f***** in a skit done by no idea who(BT i think)..well i was busy laughing(the guy beside me too).. and of course there were the usual karaoke.. it was honestly very good.. and of course there was again the dancing.. and this time i know by who... manoj, chaitu, gautam(senior) and team.. very very good performance by everyone.
There was also prize distribution. You know toppers were felicitated.. a few students sent their parents to pick up the awards.. nicee.. proud moment for them.. from our batch Balakrishna, Niharika, Spandana and Aditya were given certificates and cash prizes.. all of them were deserving winners.. no prizes for guessing who got the loudest roar from the crowd.. anyways congratulations to all the winners. There was something which no one ever expected would happen in ANITS.. fashion show.. by the juniors(i think.. so does the dude beside me).. half way through the lights went off(or someone pulled the plug).. this piece too got big cheers from the crowd.. well then the crowd got restless and started leaving.. in the halla gulla someone noticed fireworks coming from the main block.. the fireworks were a good idea..lasted below 2min.. students outside had started their own party with fireworks and bikes and music..
Aaaaaannndddd it was time to go after an eventful day.. the buses were there as usual.. the fun mood continued in the buses too.. girls versus boys antakhshri.. students shouting each time a college bus passed..
Walking slowly towards the house, trying to scare the dogs(or the other way round) i reach home sweet home by 10:45pm.
